Brian Walsh (20 November 1955 - 16 March 2023) was an Australian media executive and publicist. Walsh was best known for his lengthy tenure as the executive director of television at Foxtel and for his work as a sports and entertainment publicist.
Walsh during his tenure at Foxtel greenlit numerous shows such as Wentworth, The Twelve, Colin from Accounts and many more. Walsh's passion was his passion for seeing content come alive on the screen.
Walsh as a sports publicist coordinated the successful Simply the Best campaign for the New South Wales Rugby League NRL premiership which featured American singer Tina Turner,
Walsh died 16 March 2023.- Brian Patrick Walsh was born in New Jersey and lived between there and Florida throughout his childhood. He joined the United States Marine Corps shortly after the tragic events of September 11th. He has deployed overseas to Iraq with the Marine Corps and since completed his enlistment honorably. That time in the corps will always be regarded by him as the greatest experience of his life. After spending 2005 and 2008 in Iraq, he set his goals onto a new chapter of his life...acting! Brian grew up watching the Hollywood stars and decided to research everything he could about the entertainment industry to give it an honest shot. He has worked his way up to small roles in both Independent films and student films. Brian is now working in North Carolina on several supporting and lead roles in films due to be released in late 2015 and 2016. The rest of his story is still writing itself as we speak...
